Did I really just see a post that said “save 10% of your income to stop living paycheck to paycheck”? Like? Do you know what paycheck to paycheck means? Do you think I throw all my extra money in a bonfire? I barely scrape by every month, and you’re telling me “the way out is by saving $200 a month!” Like, where’s that gonna fucking come from exactly? I’m already not running my heat. I live off ramen, hot dogs, and salad. Shall I take it out of my rent, and get evicted? Or take it from my car payment, and not have a way to get around? Fucking “save 10%” god I wish i could live in your fucking world where you have 10% of your income unallocated.

i hate this so much but this knowledge is too powerful to keep from you all.
last night @phaltu discovered that setting your font to comic sans in google docs improves writing speed and creativity by an insane amount. “no” i said and “die” but then i tried it and god. i wish it wasn’t this way. i wish it wasn’t true. i wish i could protect you all from this but it’s real.
something about this font is so disarming. something about this font lets you look past the shape of the words and into their soul. i’ve never written so much as i did last night, on my phone, at 2am, in comic sans.
if you have writer’s block. if you lack inspiration. if you need this. don’t be afraid to use it. sometimes the things we find most horrifying are also the things we need the most. trust me. let comic sans into your life.

before i watched thor ragnarok i didn’t quite understand the overflowing love for taika waititi everyone had on here, but after watching it, i’m like. he really did that. he really put in an intelligent subtext about colonization, whitewashing of history, and the immigrant experience in a movie about norse gods in space. in a fandom where straight white male voices are overwhelmingly dominant. while giving really interesting character arcs to everyone in the main cast. what a flex
